Excellent service and consideration from Rhys and staff who helped us with ski hire, lift tickets, restaurant recommendations, lifts to restaurants, and the bus when leaving. Rhys also offered me a vegan version of his ramen for dinner, and made vegan tofu scramble and inari for breakfast. Book this place immediately, you wont regret it!!!!!! 1 - 2 minute walk to the mountain is something you just can't beat but if you really need more convincing... First off the crew - Rhys, Zoe, Tyler, Sophia and Will are all super rad humans and made my week long stay completely unforgettable! They helped with every single detail of getting me from Tokyo to their winter wonderland, from airport shuttles to gear rentals, lift tickets to restaurant/bar recs and more. Rhys is an absolute mad man master chef who's has curated a KILLER bar menu filled with delicious food and drinks and what's cool is you can tell these guys take pride in curating their menu from top to bottom. Not only have they created some incredible cocktails - complimented by their homemade in-house mixers/sweeteners/liqueurs - but their bar menu doesn't miss and the portions are significant! That said, my daily go to was Rhys's spicy miso Ramen... do yourself a favor and get two orders you wont be disappointed so get after it! The rooms were great and the common area was an awesome place to relax and get to know the other guests at the lodge. Had a absolutely brilliant stay at Lodge 401, - Only a couple of minutes walk to get to the slopes. - Neat tidy well appointed rooms with comfy beds - Great atmosphere, great food and great drinks - Staff are super friendly and helpful in every way possible, from tips on the slopes to helping with transfers between locations and accommodating dietary requirements they really go above and beyond.
