Founded in 2017, Lodge 401 was built around a simple philosophy: come as a guest, leave as a friend. Our boutique approach means we focus on quality service and genuine hospitality, attracting snow-sports enthusiasts from around the globe.
Originally one of the first chalets in Annupuri, 401 blends the vintage charm of a classic ski lodge, complete with natural textures and nostalgic ski décor, with the comforts and service of a modern boutique hotel designed for lovers of snow and nature alike.

Lodge 401 was definitely one of the highlights of our Niseko trip! Rhys was super kind and helpful with everything, from helping us get to the lodge from the station to arranging for discounted ski passes for us. The lodge itself was super clean, well maintained and cozy. The location is also perfect - barely a five minute walk from the Annupuri Ski Resort, and there is also a nice onsen nearby as well. Finally, as many other reviews mentioned, Rhys cooks some fantastic hot breakfasts! I would’ve stayed longer just to keep eating them. Overall we had an amazing time and will definitely be coming back again.
